Meet Erin, this beautiful young lady and I met one spring day at my Alma Mater and perhaps one of my favorite places to shoot, the University of Montevallo, for a bridal session. Erin’s Mom came along and brought a friend to help calm her nerves as she watch her gorgeous daughter shine in her wedding gown. Little Sis, Ryan was also there, and I have to say, I couldn’t have done it without her. Ryan held reflectors, fluffed the dress, and provided me with awesome assistance throughout the shoot. Erin and her family departed just a few short weeks later for what would be the destination wedding dreams are made of in St. Thomas!! Enjoy!
Oh yeah, it’s 2013 and I have let 8 months pass since I last updated everyone with what I have been up to, just shameful! I am really trying to not make a habit out of this and apologize immensely for failing at keeping everyone in the loop, but couldn’t be more please to now be able to share with you what I’ve been doing this past year…We’ll pick up right where I left off in April. April 28th to be exact, it was the beautiful Saturday this past spring that Karla and John said “I do”. They picked a gorgeous old bed and breakfast in Ashville,The Rose and Lace Inn. This home was full of character and charm, and the surrounding gardens made for the perfect place for a spring wedding. Here are some of the gorgeous shots captured that day. Enjoy!
You may remember this sweet family from this post last fall “Thomas and His Train” and if not, well then meet the Flemming family! They are just too cool, and so is their beautiful home, which happened to be the setting for our shoot this past November. The Flemming’s and I are neighbors in the great community of Crestwood, and if you know anything about this historic neighborhood, you know its full of charm and character, just like this wonderful family. I love getting to work and with them each year, and Thomas just get more adorable with each passing season!! Hope you enjoy!
Definitely one of my favorite sessions!!! Thanks to the Flemming family for being so great and so much fun to capture!
Anna and Jeremy were married 11.11.11 in the small town of Montevallo. The University of Montevallo is my Alma Mater and I can’t help but feel partial to this particular wedding. I worked with both Anna and Jeremy throughout college, and knew one day these two would tie the knot, they are undoubtedly meant for one another. I’m so happy they chose me to be a part of it! Not only because of the love I have for these two wonderful people, but also for the simple fact that the reception, as well as the bride’s room, was located at my all time favorite house in Montevallo. During my time there it was just a big gorgeous house that looked like it needed more than a little TLC. Low and behold someone bought it, fixed it up and turned it into the most beautiful B&B, the Fox and Pheasant Inn. Jeremy and Anna were right on in choosing this awesome spot to celebrate the beginning of their lives together. I am so happy to finally be sharing their awesome day with you…ENJOY!!
Haha! I love this Anna!!
So a week after I finished editing my cousin’s wedding, my wonderful friend/roommate/assistant and I packed up and headed to Mississippi for Michael and Pamela’s late September wedding. It was one crazy fun weekend celebrating and capturing some good friends getting hitched! I just love being apart of friends weddings, there is nothing more special, I even found my self tearing up at this one…ANYWAY the venue was gorgeous and everybody was super laid back and carefree, what more could you ask for? Allison and I had so much fun and captured some beautiful pictures, Hope you enjoy!
Does this happy couple look familiar? You may remember them from there super sweet engagement session, you can check it out here.
Any opportunity I have to make it out to Colorado and see my wonderful family is special, but the trip I made out there in early August last year tops all the rest! I had the honor of photographing my cousin Tyler’s wedding. Tyler had found the most amazing woman, Marcia, and on August 6th two of the best people I know started their lives together, and I was there to capture it all. Remember what I said about being overloaded with image? Well, I’m about as indecisive as they come and that held true while I was trying to whittle down these images to share with you! I hope you enjoy!
Let’s start with the rehearsal, where a light mountain drizzle, provided me with some shimmering images. btw, everyone out there was complaining about the humidity, HAHA! If you live in the south, and have ever visited the west, you know that those westerns don’t really know anything about humidity! Nonetheless the day was perfect…
My Uncle is a master carpenter and constructed this bench for Tyler and Marcia to sit on during the ceremony, he and my Aunt tag teamed the upholstery, what an awesome duo they are! This bench was a surprise…Tyler didn’t see it till he was walking down the Isle!
That is a clock on the far right that Tyler’s ring in perched upon, it was also constructed by my uncle 🙂
What a stunning group!
Marcia was absolutely radiant!
After the ceremony we drove about 2 blocks to one of the gorgeous neighborhood parks to snap of a few of the newlyweds. This one above is my favorite…On to the reception!
This is the “Awesome Duo” I referred to earlier, Tyler’s parents, my Uncle Scott and Aunt Kathy.
This was the perfect backyard wedding, and I am so grateful to Tyler and Marcia for making me a part of it! This trip was also the last time I had with my grandmother, she past away shortly after her 98th birthday in January of this year. I am so happy to have those last few memories of such an incredible woman. She and Tyler were so close and I am so happy that she was with us for this wonderful celebration of love and welcoming Marcia into our family! All my love and gratitude to the happy couple!
I can’t believe how long I have neglected my blog 😦 I blinked and it was Christmas, blinked again and it’s almost April and already feeling like summer here in the good ol’ south. Please accept my apology for my absence, and I hope you are ready to be overloaded with images of all the wonderful people that I was lucky enough to work with over the last half of 2011! Here is a little sneak peek of all the fun I have been having…Hope you enjoy!
There was a lot of love in 2011…
…And plenty of great friends and beautiful families! There was even a fabulous tacky Christmas sweater party squeezed in…
Many thanks to all my wonderful clients for the oustanding year! Looking forward to getting everyone up to speed and into the current year 🙂
I apologize for this blog being a little past due, but out of the hundreds of beautiful shots how do I choose just a few?!? Well, I have finally narrowed my selections and I am siked to share with you the wedding of Jason and Patricia Elrod…
July 15th is when this sweet couple began their lives as husband and wife and I am still so thrilled they had me be apart of their special day! These two were the absolute best to work with. They were so laid back, outgoing, and so in love. They had a gorgeous ceremony surrounded by their wonderful families and friends, and finished out the evening with a rockin’ party downtown, even I was dancing!
I had so much fun being apart of this wonderful celebration of love. Many thanks to Jason, Patricia, and your families, for sharing this day with me!
Also a HUGE thanks to Katie Morris for being my awesome second shooter for the day, couldn’t have done it with you!!
Okay, now to what you are all REALLY here for…The pictures, I hope you all enjoy!
OOO!! I’m so excited to finally be able to share these GORGEOUS images of Patricia Sanford, I’m sorry Patricia Elrod with you!! Patricia and Jason said “I Do”, or “Heck Yes” rather this past friday at a beautiful ceremony at Asbury United Methodist. I couldn’t be more excited for the happy couple, and while they’re beaching it up in Aruba, I now have the privilege of sharing some of my favorite images from Tricia’s bridal session. Tricia and Jason met at the University of Montevallo, he even proposed on the President’s drive, so we found it very fitting to have her bridal session there. I myself am a Montevallo Alum and had so much fun roaming our ol’ campus, snapping shots of this beautiful bride. I can’t wait to share shots from their beautiful wedding, check back in a few week for those, until then…Enjoy!
I especially love Saturdays at Sloss spent with an adorable two year olds 🙂 Ada had such a wonderful spirit about her, and a pair of stunning blue eyes. I loved just following her around as she discovered the awesome place that is Sloss Furnace. Hope you Enjoy!
This one makes me smile everytime I look at it!Isn’t she STUNNING?!?I had such a wonderful time with Ada and Grandpa!! Thanks, to Nicole Hardee for the wonderful referral!
