Compere Part Deux…

As promised in the Comperes Pt. 1, here is how the rest of the evening went…

We all welcomed the sun setting on that sweltering day in June, and not only for a little reprieve from the heat, but the sun setting meant one more thing…PARTY TIME!! That’s right, as the sun went down that day, friends and family gathered to surprise the guest of honor at the Oaks in Centreville, for what proved to be quite the celebration!

The night was perfectly filled with great friends, and family; good food, and great music to dance to, and of course a beautiful birthday cake for the birthday girl! So many thanks to the Comperes for asking me to be apart of the wonderful celebration! Hope you’ve enjoyed!

The Comperes Pt.1

I can’t express to you how excited I was to hear from Jennifer and Collins late last spring.  We were way overdue for a session, and every time we get together, it’s at an amazing location, and we walk away with some of my all time favorite images. This session was no exception, just check out some of these gorgeous shots…

Okay, so as the title of this blog suggests this is only the beginning of our time spent together, that sweltering day in June; because in all honesty, Collins and Jennifer REALLY called me to capture Collin’s mother’s 70th surprise birthday party! It was a fantastic evening filled with great friends and family gathered together to celebrate one wonderful lady.  Stay tuned, The Comperes part deux is next!

Montevallo Bridal

Meet Erin, this beautiful young lady and I met one spring day at my Alma Mater and perhaps one of my favorite places to shoot, the University of Montevallo, for a bridal session. Erin’s Mom came along and  brought a friend to help calm her nerves as she watch her gorgeous daughter shine in her wedding gown.  Little Sis, Ryan was also there, and I have to say, I couldn’t have done it without her.  Ryan held reflectors, fluffed the dress, and provided me with awesome assistance throughout the shoot.  Erin and her family departed just a few short weeks later for what would be the destination wedding dreams are made of in St. Thomas!! Enjoy!

Karla and Jon tie the knot

Oh yeah, it’s 2013 and I have let 8 months pass since I last updated everyone with what I have been up to, just shameful! I am really trying to not make a habit out of this and apologize immensely for failing at keeping everyone in the loop, but couldn’t be more please to now be able to share with you what I’ve been doing this past year…We’ll pick up right where I left off in April. April 28th to be exact, it was the beautiful Saturday this past spring that Karla and John said “I do”.  They picked a gorgeous old bed and breakfast in Ashville,The Rose and Lace Inn.  This home was full of character and charm, and the surrounding gardens made for the perfect place for a spring wedding. Here are some of the gorgeous shots captured that day.  Enjoy!

Stay tuned, so much more to come!
